Lamb Burgers Prep Time: 15 Minutes Cook Time: 15 Minutes Ready Time: 30 Minutes Ingredients 1 egg 1 tsp grated ginger 1 tsp chili powder 1 tsp cumin powder 1/4 cup (60 mL) dry breadcrumbs 1 onion, grated 2 tbsp (30 mL) apple juice 2 tsp (10 mL) Dijon mustard 1/2 tsp (2 mL) salt 1 clove garlic, minced 1/2 tsp (2 mL) pepper 1 lb (454 g) ground lamb 1 tsp lemon juice 1 tbsp chopped mint 1 tbsp Chopped Cilantro 4 hamburger buns Directions 1. In bowl, beat egg 2. Stir in all the other ingredients including the lamb except the buns 3. Shape into four 1 inch thick patties. 4. Layer patties between waxed paper in airtight container and refrigerate for up to 24 hours 5. Optionally, freeze for up to 1 month, and thaw in refrigerator 6. Place on greased grill over medium-high heat 7. Close lid and grill, turning once, until digital thermometer inserted sideways into centre reads 165°F, about 15 minutes 8. Sandwich in the hamburger buns You can use any accompaniments like, chipotle mayonnaise, mustard, Sautéed onions, sautéed mushrooms, lettuce, tomato etc.
